Discovery Channel’s iPhone App Hits The AppStore

You can see the engagement potential immediately with things like “meet the cast” and 1-click access to backgrounders and interactive quizzes.

 I could see additional real-time tie-ins by pulling in hashtag or keyword-driven searches from users discussing current episodes. I’d also add Discovery’s blog content to the mix, which could link to relevant posts and other behind-the-scenes content and footage. Overall though, Discovery Communications has delivered a solid iPhone interface to its brand.
