Recently I bought a charger (original Tweet here) for my iPhone.  The packaging was  easy enough to  open, unlike some of the other hard plastic cases I’ve had to use  crowbars for in the     past.

So as  I checked out, I was able to quickly pull out the  device  and offer back the packaging so the store (Fry’s) could theoretically re-use it,  or at least allow the  manufacturer to re-use it. The checker pointed me to the trash can.  I clarified, “No, you should recycle this.” And she said “Oh!” as if she suddenly understood, “We don’t recycle.”

Come on Fry’s, surely all the packaging that goes through your big box stores could be reused and recycled.  Let’s match the technology innovations with some green initiatives.
